We had a most delightful walk at Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument. It happened that we were there on Veteran's Day Weekend, so admission was free-- Thank you, vets! As I recall from my only previous visit there (about the same time of year) it can get crowded on a Saturday morning and make people-free shooting difficult. We got there about 9, and the masses didn't seem to arrive (with a lot of young children) until about 10. It is a gorgeous location. I'm on retreat in Santa Fe for a few days, and between reading a variety of interesting books, I've been giving my camera some exercise. Above is the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis, from my room. These are all from a 2011 trip to Arusha, Tanzania, on a teaching project, that included 2, 4 night stays in the Serengeti. I realized that I never posted them, and since this blog sometimes serves as my 'cloud' when I need an image I've shot, I figured I'd load 'em all up at once (well, actually, there are thousands more, and I haven't included the best because I hope to be able to sell them).
