Traveling across Canada on the Canadian was a wonderful experience, even when seeing mile after mile of this! Manitoba. 17 October 2006.

There's a hawthorne tree by our door that looks quite beautiful at this time of year (and also when the snow stacks up on the berries), but otherwise those darn (smashed) berries get tracked everywhere! 25 October 2006.

It snowed a few days ago, and the next day the snow melted off the trees. The dripping sound was quite loud! You can see the water droplets forming at the end of each branch. 24 October 2006.

I've been experimenting a bit shooting RAW images-- this was one of the first. I was struck by the way the sunlight was hitting the bare branches of this tree, while simultaneously adding an orange glow to the trees that had yet to lose their leaves. Taken at the Cathedral of Christ the King, Kalamazoo. 24 October 2006.

We dedicated our new peace pole last Sunday, but it was too rainy to get a good picture of it. In English, Hebrew, Arabic and Xhosa it says, "May peace prevail on earth." 28 September 2006.
I'm an Adult Child of a Travel Agent, but I haven't found a support group-- it seems all the other ACTAs are always traveling! My first camera was a Kodak Instamatic, my first digital an Olympus C3030. I traded my old stand-by Olympus E3 for a Canon 6D in 2013 and upgraded to a 5D Mark IV in 2016, though occasionally I shoot with a Canon PowerShot G11. My favorite lens is a Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM Zoom.
